MATIC (Polygon Token)

MATIC is the token that fuels the Polygon network. You use it to pay for transactions, stake for security, and vote on protocol changes. It’s the currency of choice across the entire Polygon ecosystem.

Even though the brand is now “Polygon,” the token kept its original name, MATIC. If you’re on Polygon, you’re using MATIC whether you realize it or not.
