A gaming model where players can earn crypto or NFTs through gameplay, whether by completing quests, leveling up, or trading in-game assets. The idea is to reward time and effort with real, on-chain value.

While some games offer strong ecosystems and real utility, others have been criticized for focusing too much on earning and not enough on fun. The space is maturing, with more teams shifting toward “Play & Earn,” where gameplay comes first and rewards follow.
